Laura Joy Lattman, Esq.
Laura focuses on drafting, probate, and administration of estates and trusts, as well as litigation in Surrogate's and other courts. Litigation areas of expertise include contested probates and accountings; claims by or against estates; removal and appointment of fiduciaries; cy pres and construction issues; compulsion of delivery of estate property, original wills, or accountings; as well as breach of fiduciary duty and surcharge of fiduciaries. Laura gladly represents both fiduciaries and beneficiaries. She is also active in the pro bono sector, with a particular focus on assisting families of those who have died due to police brutality, both by probating and administering the estates of the decedents and by advising re planning with the proceeds of wrongful death claims.

Verley A. Brown, Esq.
Verley A. Brown is Of Counsel to The Lattman Law Firm, LLC, where he counsels fiduciaries, beneficiaries and distributees in a variety of contested and uncontested proceedings, including probate and administration proceedings, estate and trust accounting proceedings, will and trust construction proceedings, proceedings against fiduciaries, discovery and turnover proceedings, and other trust and estate related matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Verley was an associate at Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP in the firm’s Trust & Estate Litigation practice group where he represented clients in a broad range of litigation and estate administration matters. He was previously Of Counsel at McLaughlin & Stern in New York City in the Trusts & Estates Fiduciary Litigation practice group, and started his career at Cullen and Dykman, LLP in September of 2008 in the firm’s Trust & Estate department. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Brown worked as a Senior Surrogate’s Court Clerk in the Accounting and Miscellaneous Department of the Bronx County Surrogate’s Court.
Verley lives in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC with his partner, Jeff. He has a daughter in college at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute studying architecture and a son serving in the United States Army. During his spare time, Verley enjoys traveling, dining out, and the Arts, including Broadway.

Kimbley Gilchrist
Kimbley is The Lattman Law Firm’s seasoned paralegal. She has over 25 years of legal experience, most recently in litigation and trusts and estates, but also in areas as diverse as personal injury, medical malpractice, bankruptcy, and real estate. During her paralegal career, she has been the “right hand” to managing attorneys, corporate executives, and many sole practitioners, handling complex litigation, real estate transactions, and trust/estate administration.
Her special interest is to be of service to plants, animals, children, and humanity. She dotes upon her Siberian Husky and Jack Russell Terrier.
